With the development of this online medical verification program, ABMS Solutions produced the first method to search doctors’ credentials and verify physician information on the Internet. This development revolutionized the medical industry, allowing organizations and companies to control the process for searching and obtaining information on doctors’ credentials. Today, CertiFACTS Online is a leading provider of physician board certification data, meeting the primary source verification (PSV) requirements of The Joint Commission, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) and other key accrediting organizations. Based on its satisfaction of these standards, CertiFACTS Online became an ABMS Official Display Agent, or a primary equivalent source for board certification data, on April 1, 2004.
